The vineyard area is 40 hectares (as of 2016), of which 90 percent are planted with red grape varieties , mainly Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also St. Laurent , Pinot Noir , Merlot , Zweigelt and Syrah . Among the white varieties, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc predominate . As a Central Burgenland rarity, the Gesellmann winery also produces high quality wines ( Trockenbeerenauslese ) in suitable years, some of which are supported by the use of barriques.
